There are many good causes in the world today and many ways to support them. We understand that simply writing a check is not your preferred approach to giving. You are serious about solving big problems and want to be involved in the solutions. That’s where SOW Asia’s Impact-Giving approach can help you contribute and make a difference.

Our role is to enhance the quality of your giving by providing the level of intermediary support which is essential to solving complex problems that involve multiple sectors. At the same time, you receive greater accountability and the clear knowledge of the ways in which your donation is making an impact on society.

SOW Asia uses a rigorous investment due diligence process, supported by experts from the legal and finance professions to ensure consistent performance.

Engaged

Our donors are vitally concerned about the challenges we are addressing and interested in how we are tackling them. Donors want to make a connection and move beyond simply "writing a cheque", so we provide on-going opportunities to learn and participate in the change they are helping to create.

Leveraging resources

Because our investments are high engagement, we seek to use valuable human and technological resources on a pro bono basis. We leverage the expertise of knowledge volunteers and welcome your personal involvement as well.

Accountability

SOW Asia rigorously accounts for every donor dollar we spend. Beginning in early 2012, a Content Management System (CMS) attached to the website will give you up-to-date information on our progress.

Recycling of funds

Our investments are intended to return capital to SOW Asia to be placed into new opportunities. Your gift will keep on giving for years to come.

Our donors do not receive a financial return for their gift to SOW Asia (beyond the tax advantage for Hong Kong donors), but we seek to maximize each donor’s non-financial return and giving experience. At the end of the day, it is all about Impact-Giving and investing in humanity.
